adelphi womens volleyball won today

Update!

It has been a while since I've written, but I figured I would start back up again because a lot of great things have happened in women's athletics in the past year.

To start things off the women's lacrosse team won a national championship! Adelphi will also host this years DII and DIII national championship and we have high hopes our home team will be there once again!

The volleyball team also had a great year. With many individual honors it lead them to the furthest an Adelphi volleyball team has ever gone and that is to the second round of the NCAA tournament. Making school history was a great accomplishment and they have look forward to a hard-working off-season.

The women's basketball team has done great things this year. Bringing in new head coach Heather Jacobs and a full list of recruits, the team has started of to a great start, currently sitting at a .500 record of 6-6. With many more games coming up they look to battle for a sport in the NE-10 tournament.

Make sure you go out and support your fellow female athletes!

NCAA Women's Lacrosse Tournament

The Women's Lacrosse team will be competing in the first round of the NCAA Division II Championship on Saturday May 15, 2010 here at Adelphi. They will be playing against Stonehill College. They just played Stonehill this past Sunday while competing in the NE-10 tournament, defeating them 14-13 in overtime.

Take a break from packing and studying and come out and support your women's lacrosse team!

AU Volleyball Raffle

On Thursday May 6th, 2010 the women's volleyball team with be having a raffle outside of the University Center from 11am-3pm. Benefits of this raffle will help support the girls on their preseason trip to Minnesota, where they will face some great competition.

AU Softball

Adelphi Women's Softball has clinched a spot in the upcoming NE-10 Tournament with two wins against UMass-Lowell this weekend.
